My favorite portable digital audio player host, the Lenovo M9 Android tablet has dropped $30 in the last week: $139 to $109 for the 4GB RAM/64GB internal HD version.
As I have previously discussed, they are great platforms for the might USB Audio Player Pro, a bit-perfect, all-encompassing hi-res format player that can handle up to DSD 512m 32/768 PCM and everything in between, including playing DSD ISO files; the program is $9 bucks. All you need is the $109 Lenovo, the $9 for the USBAPP player program, a $9 OTG interface and a USB cable to attach to the DAC that can play all this stuff. You can put the files on the internal HDD, or you can attach the tablet to a hub and run your big drives.
I have been using USBAPP for ten years with various tablets and Android phones. In the past two years, I added the Lenovo M8 and M9 to my player-host arsenal because of price and long battery life. The combo will give you bit perfect bits and a vastly optioned player that handles almost any format, excepting multichannel. The tablet has very good display and you can ad up to 128 GB micro-USB storage.
