A new jazz album popped up on my Roon recommended list the other day. It features trumpet player Markus Stockhausen. Markus is the son of famed composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. He has made many albums for ECM Records and other labels. The leader of this session is vibraphonist Oli Bott who is new to me. What immediately struck me about this recording is the you are there nature of the recording. Instrument image specificity is very high. It sounds like this was recorded as a live set in the studio. Combined with exciting songs makes this an incredibly fun listen. I would be curious to hear how others like the sound on their hi-fi systems. Full resolution listen/buy on Bandcamp.

Agreed on your assessment of the recording. It has a great sense of space, is balanced, has great transients and detail without being harsh and is very dynamic. It's now on my Jazz playlist in Roon.
