Hypex builds amazing stuff but why the need for class D in a preamp with such limited power requirements?

Hypex builds amazing stuff but why the need for class D in a preamp with such limited power requirements? This is just the preamp part of a pair of new kits. One is the Preamp (no Class D) and the other uses the latest Hypex Class D modules for the amp kit. I like the upgradeable aspect of the preamp. Future modules include a DAC, phono preamp, etc. I believe price is about $1,300 USD. |
