Here's a link to the Technics 100C turntable. I have been using the Technics 1500C for many months and have been very pleased. It looks like Technics has removed the defeatable built-in phono preamp of the 1500C and realized a $200 savings. The price of the 100C is $999. I consider these two turntables to be the best value in their price class and will outperform any belt drive turntable in the areas of wow and flutter and speed consistency. I really like the stripped down nature of these models compared to the higher end Technics models that retain the pitch slider and other items that are legacy hold overs from the original line of SL1200 models. I would take the $200 savings and apply that towards a Parks Audio Puffin phono amp to achieve a near SOTA vinyl playback system on a beer budget. The included VM95 cartridge has interchangeable stylus that includes Shibata diamond options. A very good match for this turntable. More info here.
