Hi all,
I ordered a new amp a couple of days ago, a PS Audio BHK Signature 250 (https://www.psaudio.com/products/bhk-signature-amplifier/#tab-description). I replaced a Bryston 4B SST2 in my living room system a few months ago with an Audio by Van Alstine FET Valve 600R, which is a hybrid design with a tube front end and a MOSFET output section. While I really liked the Bryston, the AVA just sounds more natural to me. The BHK Signature 250 is a a similar design, also with a tube front end and a MOSFET output stage. For those of us old enough to remember, BHK stands for Bascom H. King, a long time figure in audio and, in fact, a frequent contributor to Audio magazine back in its heyday. This is my second piece of gear from PS Audio and I have to say they are a really pleasant company to deal with. They also have a very generous trade-in program (they allowed over $2000) in trade for my Parasound A21 and a 30 day return policy. If any one has any comments, or has heard the BHK amp, please let me know.

Not the 250 but I have the M1200 mono amps. The BHK preamp and the P12 power generator very good stuff, the amps replaced the Nord One Up mono amps with Nicole NC500 boards and my system sounds awesome

Glad they're working for you. I just got a notice that the BHK has been shipped so I should have it in not too long.

Seemingly smitten with PS Audio these days. Like the BHK Signature 250 amp very much. Pretty easily beat the AVA and Bryston in my system. Being a big believer in synergy, I decided to give the BHK Signature preamp a try. Yowza! Whether it's the pairing with the BHK amp or what I don't now, but the BHK Signature preamp sounds incredible. Very punchy and dynamic, but incredibly soft-spoken when the music calls for it. Enjoying it very much. That old cliche seems to apply here - it makes each musical piece I listen to sound like a brand new recording. I have to admit that, with the exception of speaker changes, I have never heard quite as dramatic an effect as the change to this preamp. It won't be going back, that's for sure!

Good news I also love the BHK preamp, you can tube roll to your hearts content, I should come hear your system after Covid that is. My system with the M1200's is just mind blowing the transparency and depth are awesome, I like PS Audio so much I just ordered one of the LED signs that has been shown on the PSA forums, are you on there? Liked it enough to try out the BHK Signature amp. Liked that enough to try the BHK Signature preamp. Really am floored by the way the pre and the combination sounds. The PS Audio return policy and trade-in program are huge plusses in my mind.

Got a sign also, how are you liking the amp? Liking it very much. Found a pair of BHK Signature 300 monoblocks for sale at a good price locally. They replaced the 250 which then replaced a Bryston 4B SST2 in my second system. Have the Bryston listed for sale here. Have too many amps now.
