Description from eBay: XY-R2R-XLR-V2 Network Decoder Board DAC Board 24Bit 384Khz PCM NOS R2R High-Precision ResistanceDescription: The whole decoder board uses CPLD as data processing. Because CPLD is parallel processing, it will not be serial processing like the peripheral logic chip, of which delay between all the gates will accumulate. The delay to the last data is very large. The resulting signal jitter cannot be ignored. Therefore, the R2R DAC developed by CPLD has advantages. This decoder board has mid-tone accuracy, deep bass diving, and high-tone accuracy. The overall experience shows that the degree of separation is better than that of an integrated IC solution. (Under the premise of cooperating with our USB interface card). This product adopts SMT industrial production, the components are neat and beautiful, and the solder joints are full and shiny. SMT production reduces manual reclaiming process and avoids soldering wrong components. Greatly improve the accuracy and precision of decoding. Good voice is ensured. Thanks to its lower price, enthusiasts can enjoy the treatment of large-scale machinery.

does look very interesting. I did a quick search, not much out there yet. simple enough to come up with a +5vda and a plus and minus 15 vdc powersupply. Lots of IC's in the audio stage so would need a decent PS
The IC's in the audio stage looks like they are socketed for easy changing out.
I think sound quality will be all about the audio stage.

It's about the deep bass diving. I started this thread with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Unless they have a team of people with extremely high accuracy resistance meters screening every single resistor in the ladder there's no way they can get 24 bit precision from discrete resistors. I'd be surprised if they can get 8 bit precision. Deep bass diving or not. Regardless of the neat and beautiful components.

Deep bass diving usually requires a speargun. And SCUBA (Sonically Cataclysmic Ultra Bass Actuation) gear.
