I was able to get an unfinished pair and with member Bruce Shuettinger, helping with the veneer (Red Gum) I will be working on review but spoiler alert....they sound pretty good to me.

A very different sound from what I am used to with my history with dipole speakers. The one thing about Volti's is they are the least horny sounding Horn speakers (Tweeter and Mids are horn-loaded, the woofer is ported. no screaming highs or shouty mids even at high volume levels and near near-field listening.

They look very nice. Enjoy! Guess you can switch to the Quads if you want something completely different.

Congratulation. Do you still use the 2 subs with Volti?

The 1990’s Janis W1’s are really only for the Quads and even then rarely used. When they are I have them just barely on, you have a hard time telling that they are there musically, just enough to add a bit of umph. When I first got the Razz’s and before the veneering, I did a quick measurement with trueRTA and found that the Razz are good to a strong 40Hz. I will be doing measurements today and post them here. The Janis are set from 40Hz and are flat to 20Hz. In my room the Quads are strong 50Hz with a gentle roll off to 40Hz. The subs do a great fill-in with them.. Talking about a journey of contrasts. I’ll never sell the Quads unless I can replace them with good 63’s. If I continue with building the reviewing thing I think it is a good idea to review with both types of speakers. Very Yeng and Yang
