Just watching the latest John Darko video about DACs and he mentioned a Raspberry Pi Audio Distro OS I had not heard of. Looks interesting and I will be checking it out. Silent AngelOn this topic, I am thinking of doing a video about all the different Raspberry Pi Audio Distro OS (i.e. Ropipee, Picore Player, HifiBerry, etc.). Anybody interested in this?

Thanks Bristol, looks like good stuff, even though I have a bunch of Pi3 I guess I need to get a Pi4 and try this out for my living room system. Please explain Latency and why it is important

Please explain Latency and why it is important Who's Bristol? Anyway. network latency has to do with the responsiveness of the network and delays. Gamers are all about latency. That's why until Starlink came along, you couldn't video game using a satellite internet connection. I'm not sure the latency differences that Silent Angel lists will be that noticeable, but it can't hurt. I don't think there will be any improvements in actual sound quality but who knows? The only negative I see is that it needs a phone app to configure. Most Pi Distros can be configured by a HTML web page which I think is more flexible.

Oops, auto spell correction I did not catch sorry Chris The only thing I know about latency is that in some instructions they say if it doesn't work lower latency, always wanted to know that meant. I am still in the usual fog
