Hi, I have just completed a video that documents from start to finish the build process of the HiVi 3.1A Speaker. I spent six days working on this and I hope that you find it fun and interesting. Production values are pretty rough but I was operating under the idea of just getting things done. Even if you have no interest in building you own speaker, if you have 22 minutes to spare you still might find it interesting? As always please post your questions and or comments. Feel free to press the like button on YouTube if you want. If people react well to this sort of thing, I will be motivated to produce more videos. Swan is a speaker company that produces the HiVi kit. They sell ready made speakers such as the M3. Notice any similarity? Obviously, the cabinet work is stellar but the drivers and the crossover components are the same for the M3 as in the HiVi kit. The M3's retail for about $1800! 6moons.com/audioreviews/swans/swans.html

I visited Russ Katz yesterday and we spent a few hours listening to music on my HiVi 3.1A DIY speaker build. I don't think they look too bad in his HiFi Salon living room! Russ was somewhat smitten given the low price ($300). I, of course, am totally unbiased.
