Hi all,
I've always used the SoundSmith method for setting azimuth, with I think good results, but decided to buy a Fozgometer to use like the rest of the world. I ended up sending it back, though, because I suspect that it was defective. The right channel LED was lit whenever I turned it on. More frustrating is that no changes that I made to the azimuth changed the meter readings (this is with a number of cartridges on a number of arms using the test record recommended by MS). I did the calibration procedure and got everything correct by the Musical Surroundings methods, but this didn't affect the results at all. If anyone out there has a Fozgometer that they would be willing to let me use for a short time I would really appreciate it. Perhaps bring ti to the meeting on Saturday, or I could pick it up at your convenience. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
